BLACK WIDOW Mk.III

J&C Armament - Small arms manufactured
History of Our Project
The idea for the creation of the carbine originated in the minds of two designers, Przemek Jaworski and Rafał Cygański. They started with the simple idea of creating a new weapon in the caliber of intermediate ammunition, which would fit into a backpack. A weapon that would be comfortable to operate in tight spaces, cars, airplanes, etc. A design that could potentially replace submachine guns and provide greater firepower, while being characterized by compact dimensions, low recoil, and an easy-to-use manual.
Work began in 2019, and after six months of intensive effort, the first firing prototype model, Mk.I, was produced (which to date has fired over 30,000 rounds). Although the prototype had relatively low failure rates, it was not without flaws, which were gradually eliminated over the next two years, first in the Mk.II version and finally in the commercially released Mk.III version.
From the outset, the platform was intended to be compatible with the M4/AR15 platform due to its widespread adoption among both NATO armed forces and a large portion of civilian users. This ensures the possibility of modifying and adapting a whole range of equipment designed for the M4/AR15 platform, without the need for training to master a new manual for the weapon.
Emphasis was placed on improving ergonomics and the manual by moving the reloading lever to the front of the design and adding a bilateral, proprietary safety and bolt release, which is currently undergoing the patenting process and will be implemented into mass production as early as 2023.
The main goal was to achieve a rigid, reliable construction entirely produced using CNC technology, resistant to dirt and firing strain.
Over time, in response to user needs, the Black Widow platform has evolved from a sub-compact carbine through a compact version to a full-sized assault weapon.
As of now, you can already purchase our Black Widow Mk. III carbine and join us in celebrating a successful project!

Characteristics of Black Widow Mk.III?

assault rifle
Design and Construction
Almost 90% of the parts are manufactured using CNC machining. The design improves upon the well-known, user-friendly manual of the M4/AR15 platform by relocating the reloading mechanism to the front of the weapon. The use of a static reloading lever at the front of the carbine makes it intuitive for the shooter. Combined with a short-stroke piston system, it is reliable and resistant to dirt.

The design allows for the use of reloading levers and controls for left-handed shooters or the use of ambidextrous controls.

Magazines are standard AR/M4 compatible. All AR/M4 standard magazines fit, including HK brand magazines.

Reloading System and Gas Block
The reloading system is based on a gas block with a short-stroke piston. This design ensures clean operation, translating to high reliability. We use a thick-walled, high-strength gas block designed for sustained fire.

The gas block has a four-stage adjustment: standard ammunition, high-pressure or heavy-bullet ammunition, subsonic ammunition, and a unique semi-automatic (repeater) mode in this class. This mode requires reloading after each shot, thus providing maximum focus and repeatability for each shot.

The gas block is not connected to the weapon's frame. The reloading system is sealed, designed with maximum emphasis on preventing external contamination.

Barrel
We use heavy barrels suitable for military or government units, like the CARBINE BARREL GOV'T barrel with a carbine-length gas system. Due to the thickness of the barrel wall, it can dissipate much more heat compared to the classic AR15 barrel.

The barrel mount is another advantage. It is tightly fitted and installed by heating the barrel socket. This ensures perfect alignment and rigidity. This type of mounting also affects efficient and uniform heat dissipation to the weapon's frame and the overall rigidity.
The barrel is only connected to the frame through the barrel socket.

The gas block is not connected to the frame, ensuring constant vibration amplitude during the shot; this is known as a free-floating barrel.

We install barrels with lengths from 10.3 to 16 inches. The barrel bore is coated in either chrome or QpQ technology.

StandardManufacturing Standard
The entire frame of the carbine is made using CNC machining. The frame is machined on a special axis aligned with the barrel axis. This ensures perfect alignment of the Picatinny rail on the upper receiver and handguard. Both elements are connected with a special lock, and the axial machining ensures that the rail is perfectly aligned with the barrel.

We focus on the quality of the surface finish and continually improve our technologies.

All aluminum parts are covered with a hard, scratch and corrosion-resistant Type III anodizing. Titanium parts are anodized in an electrochemical process, and steel parts are either oxidized or chromed.

Stock
The carbine is currently available in three versions based on the length and type of stock. The super short and short versions are our proprietary solutions, and the regular version allows for the installation of a traditional Mil-spec stock.
Material
We pay attention to material selection, exclusively using aluminum 7075, titanium GR 5, steel H10s2, steel WNLV, and steel 42CrMo4.
A good forge does everything itself...
Why do we have multiple stock versions?
The Black Widow Mark III carbine has three stock system options. Why three? Due to strong external suggestions and market needs. Initially, the idea was to create a subcompact for undercover operations and tight-space operations with a folding stock. The successful carbine design led more and more people to ask for a version with a fixed stock. This led to the creation of a full-sized assault rifle that can be used for both sports and the operations of services or special units.

Why Should You Buy the Black Widow Mk.III?

Here are a few reasons why our rifle is worth purchasing:
  • Minimal Recoil and Muzzle Rise
Thanks to a proprietary piston design combined with a gas block and a heavy barrel, the rifle has minimal muzzle rise, ensuring shot repeatability.
  • Compact, Small, Simply SmartKompaktowy, niewielki, po prostu sprytny
This is one of the most compact rifles in the 5.56x45 NATO/.223 Wylde caliber in the world. Due to its well-thought-out compact design, the supershort version of the rifle has a folded length of only 495mm (with a 10.5" barrel).
  • Simplicity and Reliability of Piston Design with Gas Block
Thanks to custom gas block solutions and reload mechanism design, the weapon is airtight and resistant to external contamination. Special design solutions mean that moving parts partially self-clean during consecutive shots. During testing, the first cleaning was performed after about 2,000 rounds.
  • Accuracy and Precision
Our rifle is almost 90% manufactured in-house on CNC machines. The main structural components (barrel stock and bolt chamber) are processed in one setup on the machine, ensuring a constant zero along the entire length of the Picatinny upper rail and perfect coaxiality with the barrel bore. This is similar to monoblock constructions. Each rifle is individually sighted and adjusted to ensure the highest quality.
  • Polish Native Brand
Black Widow is an entirely original design from Skarżysko Kamienna, a city with an arms manufacturing tradition dating back to the interwar period. We are the first private firearm manufacturer in Poland to bring our original design to market.
  • Customization Options
Even at the production stage, we can customize the rifle in terms of accessories, surface finishes, application of barrels from any manufacturer (including custom brands), and choice of material for moving parts (from high-alloy steel to titanium).

During assembly, there is the option to mount our accessories such as a magazine well funnel, enlarged bolt release, and magazine release, etc.

Standard rifles are oxidized and covered with type III hardened anodized coating, dyed black. On special request, the rifle can be coated with Cerakote, or colored in almost any hue.

Lastly, there's the option for further personalization, including individual weapon numbers or surface engraving.

  • Original Design and Our Own Production
We emphasize multiple times that we've designed the rifle ourselves and also independently produce the vast majority of its parts.
The only elements that we import from trusted and reputable suppliers are:
    • Barrel
    • Bolt
    • Trigger housing (for custom models, we make the trigger housing ourselves).
By the end of the year, we plan to also produce the bolt and the cartridge chamber in-house.
  • Service
Practically 90% of the Black Widow components are produced in our own manufacturing facility, so potential servicing or part replacements are not a problem. We have all weapon parts readily available. In the case of depletion, the production time does not exceed two weeks. We have authorized service points and are continually working on expanding them.
